Abstract

The invention relates to the field of computer technology, particularly relates to a code submission method and a device, which are applied to a Git distributed version control system including a target branch code. The method monitors whether a code submission request initiated to the target branch code exists, and the code submission request is a request for code submission operation to the target branch code by using the branch code to be submitted. When the code submission request is detected, the branch code to be submitted is tested to judge whether the branch code to be submitted meetsthe preset test standard, and the judgment result is obtained; and when the branch code to be submitted meets the preset test standard, the branch code to be submitted is tested. If the judgment result indicates that the branch code to be submitted reaches the preset test standard, the code submission operation is carried out on the target branch code by using the branch code to be submitted. If the judgment result indicates that the branch code to be submitted does not reach the preset test standard, the branch code to be submitted is prevented from submitting the code to the target branch code. The invention avoids the abnormal situation of the target branch code caused by the problematic branch code to be submitted.
