Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for adjusting subtitles in a video and also a server, relating to the technical field of computers. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring avideo file to be played and a subtitle file of the video file; performing voice activity detection on an audio stream of the video file to obtain an effective audio interval; combining a subtitle interval of the subtitle file and the audio interval in a time domain; according to the combined interval, shifting the subtitle interval which exceeds the audio interval in the time domain into the corresponding audio interval to obtain an adjusted reference interval; determining subtitles in a reference interval as adjusted subtitles. The accuracy of subtitle adjustment in a video can be improved byapplying the embodiment of the present disclosure.
