The method comprises the steps: employing a double-side photovoltaic module as a test module; extracting and outputting afront surface electrical parameter and a back surface electrical parameter of the test module through an electrical parameter extraction device via the characteristic that the dust is liable to be accumulated on the front surface of the double-side photovoltaic module but not the back surface after a detecting device transmits a testing instruction; obtaining a front surface no-dust electrical parameter corresponding to the back surface electrical parameter according to a preset relation table through the detecting device, and comparing the front surface electrical parameter and the front surface no-dust electrical parameter, and generating and outputting a module cleaning instruction when the relation between the front surface electrical parameter and the front surface no-dust electricalparameter meets a cleaning condition. In the invention, there is no need of an additional protection cover or cleaning device for achieving the detecting of the accumulated dust of the photovoltaic module.
