A method and apparatus for automatically implementing an API application, the method comprising: recording an execution process of a processing device, the execution process comprising an operation of an input device of at least one processing device as well as execution information of the processing device in response to the operation (S101); analyzing the execution process, determining a target data item, determining an execution process used for acquiring the target data item, and determining input parameters used for acquiring the target data item (S102); and determining an API corresponding to the target data item, using some or all of the parameters among the input parameters used for acquiring the target data item as input parameters of the API, and using the execution process used for acquiring the target data item as an execution process of the API (S103). The present method may automatically generate parameters and an execution process for an API to reduce the workload of API configuration parameters and a flow process, and may also modify some operations in an execution process according to a preset rule to satisfy the personalized needs of a user. Increasing flexibility of a flow process may suit a more complex system, thereby increasing the functions of an API.
