Abstract

The invention relates to a screen image quality evaluation method based on color and texture characteristics, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of: firstly, designing a parameter model to describe the characteristics of color information in a screen image, and extracting the characteristics related to quality by adopting a statistical model to evaluate the spatial color continuity of the screen image; secondly, describing spatial texture continuity of the screen image by adopting local texture features; and finally, mapping the visual features to subjective scores by using support vector regression as a mapping function. Experimental results show that compared with the existing non-reference screen image algorithm performance, the method shows good performance in theaspect of predicting the visual quality of the screen image and is even superior to some full-reference screen image algorithm performance.
