The sleep trainer (1) comprises a cuff (2) with two electrodes (21), (22) for performing impedance measurements and a monitor (3) for receiving measurement signals. The cuff has a cuff pocket (23). The electrical connection is obtained by inserting the monitor (3) into the cuff pocket (23). The cuff contact points (210), (220) are provided within the cuff pocket (23). Monitor contact points (31), (32) are provided on the outer surface of the monitor housing (30). The monitor contacts are flat and barely protrude above the monitor housing. The strap pocket (23) prevents lateral movement of the monitor, and the strap pocket walls (231) apply a compressive force to keep the monitor contact points (31), (32) in contact with the strap contact points (210), (220 ) adjacent joint. Advantageously, the sleep trainer provides a high level of wearing comfort, which facilitates sleep disorder treatment compliance.
