Abstract

The invention discloses a backlight module and a display device. The backlight module comprises a back board, a plastic frame, a light bar and a light guide plate. The back board and the plastic frameform accommodating space; and the light bar and the light guide plate are arranged in the accommodating space. The light bar includes a strip-shaped flexible circuit board and a plurality of light sources electrically connected to the strip-shaped flexible circuit board; at least one end of the strip-shaped flexible circuit board includes a notch; and the notch divides the strip-shaped flexible circuit board into a bonding portion and a turn-over portion. The surface of one side, facing the back board, of the bonding portion is bonded to the back board and the partial surface of one side, inopposite to the back board, of the bonding portion is bonded with the light guide plate. The turn-over portion turns over towards one side of a light incident surface of the light guide plate and is arranged between the light incident surface of the light guide plate and the plastic frame at the corresponding position. The turn-over portion of the strip-shaped flexible circuit board plays a role in buffering between the light guide plate and the plastic frame. When the backlight module falls down vertically, the influences of shearing forces on the strip-shaped flexible circuit board in two opposite direction are reduced and thus the light bar is protected from being torn, so that the reliability of the backlight module is improved.
