In one example, the stereoscopic polarization modulator is positioned between the spatial light modulator device and imaging optics in the projection system. The imaging optics may prevent a portion of the imaging light scattered by the stereoscopic polarization modulator from being projected by the projection system, while allowing other light (eg, intended light or light passing through the main path of the projection system) to be projected.
