Abstract

The present invention relates to closed-loop intervention control systems and methods for memory consolidation in subjects. A closed-loop intervention control system for memory consolidation in subjects is described. During operation, the system simulates a memory change of the subject's first memory during awake encoding of the first memory and then while the subject is asleep and coupled to the intervention system. Based on the simulated memory changes, the system predicts a behavior of the first memory, the behavior being a probability that the first memory can be recalled by a cue. The system may be configured to control operation (eg, turn on or off) of an intervention system for the first memory based on the behavioral performance of the first memory determined by the simulation.
