Abstract

The invention discloses a double-viewpoint video processing method and system, and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a double-viewpoint image; dividing a salient region and a non-salient region of the double-viewpoint image; obtaining a depth map according to the double-viewpoint image; and encoding the parts, located in the salient region, of the depth map andthe double-viewpoint image by adopting an encoding mode with a relatively high code rate, and encoding the parts, located in the non-salient region, of the depth map and the double-viewpoint image byadopting an encoding mode with a relatively low code rate. According to the method, the salient region and the non-salient region are divided, during encoding, the salient region is encoded by adopting an encoding mode with a relatively high code rate, and the non-salient region is encoded by adopting an encoding mode with a relatively low code rate; therefore, the present invention can compress adouble-viewpoint video while ensuring that the video effect of a salient region is not significantly reduced.
