Abstract

The invention provides an audio object coding and decoding method based on high-and-low frequency domain resolution switching. According to the coding end, a plurality of input audio object signals are firstly transformed from a time domain to a frequency domain through a preprocessing module. The transformed audio object signals are mixed on one hand to obtain a single-track mixed signal and on the other hand are subjected to object signal activeness detection on the basis of a low-frequency domain resolution sub-band and are used for extracting parameters together with the mixed signal, wherein parameter extraction is carried out on the basis of the high-frequency or low-frequency domain resolution according to the activeness of the object signal. Finally, the mixed signal, an activenessexpression matrix and object parameters extracted based on the high-frequency or low-frequency domain resolution are synthesized into a code stream. According to the decoding end, firstly, the code stream is decomposed to obtain the mixed signal, the activeness expression matrix and the object parameters; and then, under guidance of the activeness matrix, audio object signal reconstruction is carried out by using the mixed signal and the object parameters. The method provided by the invention provides a better solution for simultaneous high-quality coding of multiple audio objects.
