The vocabulary database construction and query method comprises the steps of obtaining entry data related to science and technology knowledge and first definition description data thereof from an encyclopedia database; processing the obtained entry data and the first definition description data thereof according to the science and technology knowledge organization system standard to obtain target vocabularies and second definition description data, performing vectorizing to obtain corresponding target vocabulary vectors, and calculating and obtaining relevancy data between the target vocabularies; constructing a target vocabulary database used for storing target vocabularies associated with the domain categories, a target vocabulary relationship database used for storing relevancy data among the target vocabularies, and a definition description database used for storing second definition description data; constructing a set of new vocabulary supplementing system by utilizing a new database architecture, quantifying relationships among vocabularies, vocabulary hierarchical relationships and relationships among fields.
