Abstract

Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI) feedback for Type II channel state information (CSI) feedback in New Radio (NR) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) operation is discussed. According to various aspects, a user equipment (UE) determines a plurality of CSI feedback components and identifies a set of dropped components for these components based on a specific component value of a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) component. The UE can then generate adjusted CSI reports by adjusting how to handle the dropped feedback components. The generated adjusted CSI report can then be sent to the serving base station.
