Abstract

A method for decoding the physical edge link shared channel (PSSCH) is described, including the reduction of the physical edge link control channel (PSCH) resource grid search space, timing offset (TO) estimation, and reference symbol identification. The reduction of the resource grid search space may include identifying resource blocks (RBs) having a signal power below a first threshold, so thatthe RBs may be excluded from further processing. The search space reduction may additionally or alternatively include identifying resource block pairs (RB pairs), where the difference in signal powerbetween the RBs that make up each RB pair is above a second threshold, and excluding any or All such RB pairs. The TO compensation may include cyclically correlating the received DMRs and their corresponding local DMRs to obtain the energy distribution or power distribution. From the energy / power distribution, a subset L of the highest stored power value and its corresponding cyclic shift (ncs)value may be selected, where the power value is equal to or greater than a third threshold.
