Abstract

The title of the invention is Goods-to-Operator Workstation. The present disclosure is directed to a workstation for presenting a container of articles to an operator for pickup of goods to the operator. The goods to operator workstation includes a container presentation mechanism having laterally movable arms positioned at a first predetermined distance from each other to form a first space for receiving and presenting containers to an operator for picking. A lifting unit is moved vertically upward into the first space to receive the picked containers, the laterally movable arms are moved away from each other outward at a second predetermined distance from each other, and the lifting unit is moved vertically downward through the at least two laterally movable arms to transfer the picked containers onto a discharge conveyor.
