The method comprises the steps that a handling system generates expense information for aninsurance company and expense information for an insurance participant according to a settlement request of the insurance participant, stores the expense information in a specified special block chain, sends the expense information for the insurance participant to a nursing system, and sends the expense information for the insurance company to an insurance company payment system; the nursing system and the insurance company respectively determine whether the received expense information is consistent with the related expense information read from the special block chain or not; and in response to the determination that the information is consistent, the nursing system presents the corresponding expense information to the insured person for payment, and the insurance company completes payment for the corresponding nursing institution and the insured person based on the corresponding expense information.
