Abstract

The invention discloses a redundant motor for EPS steering system. The redundant motor includes a shell, a rotating shaft, redundant stator assemblies, redundant rotor assemblies, and a magnetic isolating component. A front end cover and a rear end cover of the shell are provided with bearings; the shell is used for holding the rotating shaft, the redundant stator assemblies, the redundant rotor assemblies and the magnetic isolating component; two ends of the rotating shaft penetrate through the bearings of the front and rear end covers of the shell; two sides of a shaft shoulder respectivelyfix the redundant rotor assemblies; the redundant stator assemblies are respectively fixed in the shell; the redundant rotor assemblies penetrate into the stator assemblies together with the rotatingshaft and are respectively located in the redundant stator assemblies; and the magnetic isolating component is fixed on the rotating shaft between the redundant rotor assemblies and used for isolatinga magnetic field between the redundant stator assemblies and the redundant rotor assemblies. The relative positions between the redundant stator assemblies differ by a first preset mechanical angle or a first preset electrical angle, and the relative positions between the redundant rotor assemblies differ by a second preset mechanical angle or a second preset electrical angle. Double shift of anelectromagnetic field in the motor space can be realized, and the torque fluctuation of the motor itself can be eliminated. The redundant motor has high reliability and high fault tolerance.
