The device comprises: a shell, wherein a sample bin is arranged on the shell; a liquid pool arranged in the sample bin and used for placing insulating oil to be detected; an infrared spectrum acquisition unit which is used for acquiring the infrared transmittance graph of the insulating oil to be detected; and a processing unitwhich is electrically connected with the infrared spectrum acquisition unit and is used for receiving the infrared transmittance graph and comparing the infrared transmittance graph with typical spectrograms of insulating oil of different manufacturers and different models so as to determine the model and manufacturer information of the insulating oil to be detected. Insulating oil is sampled andscanned, and a scanning result is compared with the typical atlas of the transformer oil of each manufacturer and each model, so that the model and manufacturer information of the insulating oil to bedetected are determined, the manufacturers and the models of the transformer oil can be quickly distinguished, supply of a high-quality oil source of a high-voltage-grade transformer and safe and reliable use of the transformer oil are ensured, the poor-quality oil source is prevented from influencing safe operation of power grid equipment, and the safety performance of the power grid equipment is improved.
