The invention relates to an operation state evaluation method and system of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. According to the invention, the methd comprises the steps of: using a multi-innovationleast square method to identify and estimate the excitation magnetic field generated by the rotor permanent magnet; determining a permanent magnet flux linkage after identification and estimation; based on the identified and estimated permanent magnet flux linkage, estimating the flux linkage of the permanent magnet; and determining a stator resistance state observation equation according to thePMSM model under the influence of the unmeasurable parameters, and fusing the permanent magnet flux linkage with the unmeasurable parameters into the state observation equation of the permanent magnetsynchronous motor while accurately evaluating the permanent magnet flux linkage with the unmeasurable parameters, thereby improving the evaluation precision of the running state of the permanent magnet synchronous motor.
