The invention discloses a transmittance estimation method for obtaining a panchromatic remote sensing image,relates to the technical field of digital image processing, solves the limitation of application of an existing image enhancement algorithm and a dark channel restoration algorithm, and aims at solving the problem of sharpness of the panchromatic remote sensing haze image by utilizing a certain dark pixel in a local area of the panchromatic image, namely a code value of the dark pixel is close tozero. In order to avoid a halo phenomenon caused by a blocking effect and depth-of-field abrupt change, an edge maintenance characteristic and a smoothness characteristic are comprehensively considered, a mean-small-value filtering method is adopted to obtain accurate estimation of transmittance, and finally a sharp remote sensing image with clear edge details and a high signal-to-noise ratio is obtained.
