Benefits of technology

This new device helps people who have difficulty walking on uneven surfaces with different levels or terrains without losing control over them due to lacking power from one side compared to another's wheels. It allows for easy customization based upon how hard they were doing upward at once (the force needed). Additionally it has two modes - manual mode where the driver uses both hands while driving) and automatic mode where only the feet touch down instead of just pushing against each other when navigating across an incline. Overall this technology improves safety and comfort during use.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution described by the patents describes how electrically powered wheelshicle chains used on existing vehicles may cause difficulties during use due to their weight or lack of stability over long periods of time. There exist solutions involving specially designed devices called ratchets, where an electronic device changes the rotation frequency based upon certain criteria (such as distance traveled). These systems allow for easier control while still being effective at changing between different levels of resistance.

Embodiment 1

[0024] Such as figure 1 and 2 As shown, a manual wheelchair with infinitely adjustable transmission ratio includes a chair frame 1 , auxiliary wheels, a manual wheel assembly, a continuously variable transmission 2 , a speed control handle 3 and an adjustment transmission assembly 4 . The chair frame 1 is provided with a cushion, a backrest and two armrests. The hand wheel assembly is arranged on both sides of the bottom of the chair frame 1 respectively. The hand wheel assembly includes a main wheel 5, a hand wheel rim 6, a tubular axle 7 and a drive shaft 8. The tubular axle 7 is supported on one side of the bottom of the chair frame 1 . The main wheel 5 is fixed to the outer end of the tubular axle 7 . The driving rotating shaft 8 passes through the central hole of the tubular wheel shaft 7 and forms a coaxial rotating pair with the tubular wheel shaft 7 . The outer end of the hand wheel ring 6 and the drive shaft 8 is coaxially fixed. Hand wheel rim 6 is positioned a...

Embodiment 2

[0033] Such as Figure 4 As shown, the difference between this embodiment and embodiment 1 is:

[0034] 1. In the driving wheel 2-1 and the driven wheel 2-3, two conical unilateral wheels all form a sliding pair with the driving shaft 8 or the transmission shaft 2. Two springs 2-4 are sleeved on each drive shaft 8; the opposite ends of the two springs 2-4 are fixed with the drive shaft 8, and the other ends are against the opposite sides of the drive wheel 2-1 respectively; The root spring 2-4 applies elastic force to the two tapered unilateral wheels in the drive wheel 2-1, so that the distance between the two tapered unilateral wheels in the drive wheel 2-1 tends to decrease.

[0035] 2. The adjusting rotating shaft 4-2 is provided with four sections of threads 4-3 arranged in sequence. Any two sections of adjacent threads 4-3 all rotate in opposite directions. There are four sliders 4-4; the four sliders 4-4 and the chair frame 1 form a sliding pair sliding in the horizo...

Abstract

The invention discloses a manual wheelchair with stepless transmission ratio adjustment. Existing manual wheelchairs are very strenuous in climbing. The manual wheelchair in the invention comprises achair frame, hand-cranking wheel assemblies and continuously variable transmissions; the two hand-cranking wheel assemblies are arranged at the two sides of the bottom of the chair frame respectively;the hand-cranking wheel assembly comprises a main wheel, a hand wheel ring, a tubular wheel shaft and a driving rotating shaft; the tubular wheel shaft is supported at the bottom of the chair frame;the main wheel is fixed with the outer end of the tubular wheel shaft; the driving rotating shaft and the tubular wheel shaft are coaxially arranged, and form a rotating pair; the hand wheel ring is fixed with the outer end of the driving rotating shaft; the number of the continuously variable transmissions is two; the two continuously variable transmissions correspond to the two hand-cranking wheel assemblies respectively; and stepless adjustment of the transmission ratio of the driving rotating shaft to the tubular wheel shaft is achieved. The wheel and the hand wheel ring, which are fixed together, in the prior art are separated into mutual rotation; the transmission ratio of the wheel to the hand wheel ring is adjusted by arranging the continuously variable transmissions; and a user can adjust the transmission ratio conveniently according to the strength of the user and the current road condition.
