Abstract

The invention relates to a lift synchronizer group with reduced axial length. Among them, a synchronizer includes a hub with a riser slope, a synchronizer cone, a synchronizer ring and a sliding sleeve. The sliding sleeve has gears on an interior surface engageable with the synchronizer cone and the hub. The sliding sleeve includes a slot. An inner lock contains the synchronizer ring, causing the synchronizer ring to move in an axial direction when axial pressure is applied. An insert is positioned within the slot and has a pin extending radially inwardly. When the sliding sleeve is displaced in the axial direction, the insert moves axially and the pin travels along one of the lift ramps, causing the synchronizer ring to align with the synchronizer The cones engage, causing the synchronizer ring to rotate at the same speed as the synchronizer cones, enabling the sliding sleeve to be positioned over both the gears of the hub and the synchronizer cones.
