The method comprises the following steps: respectively detecting heartbeat signals of corresponding BMCs by utilizing a plurality of CPLDs; in response to the fact that the plurality of CPLDs do not detect the heartbeat signal, enabling the plurality of CPLDs to drive a fan according to a first presetPWM value; and in response to the heartbeat signal detected by the at least one CPLD, driving the fan by the BMC corresponding to the heartbeat signal. According to the scheme, the CPLDs are adoptedto detect the heartbeat signals corresponding to the BMC respectively, the CPLDs drive the fan according to the first preset PWM value when the CPLDs do not detect the heartbeat signals, the BMC drives the fan when at least one CPLD detects the heartbeat signals, and the CPLDs can be adopted to assist in controlling the fan under the abnormal conditions of BMC faults, restart, power-on and the like.
