Embodiment Construction

[0059] figure 1 A route 300 (dotted line) of a vehicle according to the first embodiment of the invention is shown. Route 300 leads from a starting location ("START") to a target location ("ZIEL") along a plurality of road segments (not shown). At the same time, the course (Routenverlauf) of route 300 is shown, which course has seven links 301 which each represent one of these route sections. These links 301 are connected to each other at a plurality of nodes 302 . The start of the route trend corresponding to the starting position and the end of the route trend corresponding to the target position are also respectively located at the node 302 .

[0060] Links 301 are represented by arrows which represent the associated driving direction. If one of these links 301 has only one arrow, the associated link can only be traveled in one direction. If one of these links 301 has two arrows, the associated link can be traveled in two opposite directions.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for transmitting a route direction to a receiving device by means of a transmitting device, comprising the following steps: a) selecting a link as a starting link onthe basis of a route, assigning a first count value to the starting link, and determining direction information representing the route direction along the direction of the starting link; b) selecting,as a follow-up link, another link connected to the previously selected link at the node according to the route; c) applying a predefined filtering rule to the link directly connected to the node suchthat a filtering result is provided; d) assigning another count value after the count value of the previously selected link to the following link; e) assigning an index representing the following link to the other count value if the filtering result does not include only the following link; f) repeating steps b) to e) for all other ones of the links belonging to the route; and g) transmitting thelink number of the starting link, the direction information, the count value and an index comprising its respective assignment to one of the count values to the receiving device.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for transmitting a route course (route course) with a transmitting device and a method for receiving a route course with a receiving device. The invention also relates to a transmitting device for transmitting a course of a route and a receiving device for receiving a course of a route. Background technique [0002] Conventional navigation devices can calculate a route from a starting position to a target position using map data. The starting position is usually determined using a satellite navigation system, for example using GPS, GLONASS, COMPASS or GALILEO. For this purpose, the navigation device receives the signals of a plurality of geostationary satellites by means of a satellite antenna and evaluates these signals. The target position is usually determined from an object entered into the navigation device by a user of the navigation device via an input unit. [0003] The route can be calculated by a computing...
