The control method comprises the steps of acquiring a first temperature corresponding to an outdoor fan of the multi-split air conditioner in a heating mode and a second temperature corresponding to each indoor unit with the heating capacity requirement; and when it is determined that the current first temperature is greater than or equal to a first temperature threshold value, determining the initial air gear of the outdoor fan based on the current first temperature, after the outdoor fan is controlled to operate at the initial air gear and maintains operating for the first set duration, determining the first operation air gear of the outdoor fan based on the second temperatureof each indoor unit with the heating capacity requirement, and controlling the outdoor fan to operate at the first operation air gear. The operation of the outdoor fan can be jointly controlled basedon the obtained first temperature and second temperature, so that the rotating speed of the outdoor fan is adjusted more accurately, the operation reliability of the multi-split air conditioner is improved, and the user experience is effectively improved.
