Abstract

The invention relates to a battery housing comprising a housing tank for a direct fluid temperature controllable battery and to a method for producing such a battery. The housing can has a can bottomfrom which a can neck projects at an angle. The housing tank defines a housing interior space through which a temperature control fluid can flow for accommodating a plurality of battery cell modules of a battery. A fluid chamber is provided on the chamber side of the tank neck facing away from the housing interior, said fluid chamber being fluidically connected to the housing interior by means ofa plurality of holes provided in the tank neck. The fluid chamber is defined by a chamber neck projecting outwardly from the tank neck, the chamber neck enclosing a chamber opening which can be closedin a fluid-tight manner by a cover. At least one electrical wire for electrically connecting at least two of the battery cell modules is mountable through the chamber opening such that the electricalwire is at least partially disposed in the fluid chamber so that the temperature control fluid is capable of flowing around the electrical wire, and the electrical wire passes through the at least one aperture.
