AI Technical Summary

Problems solved by technology

Excessive tensioning of cables and connectors can create latent defects that compromise the integrity and / or reliability of the termination and can result in significant disruption to network performance
[0009] While an operator may attempt to use a tool such as a screwdriver to reach into a densely packed connector group and activate the release mechanism, adjacent cables and connectors may obstruct the operator's view, making it Guides the tool to the release mechanism when pushed away
Also, even if the operator has a clear line of sight, guiding the tool to the release mechanism can be a time consuming process
Therefore, using tools may not be effective in reducing support time and improving service quality

Abstract

Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to a network system comprising: a connector comprising a housing and comprising a recess extending laterally on a surface of the housing; a push-and-pull tab including a complementary groove, wherein the push-and-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving a connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchoring device comprising a first portion and a second portion. The recess is configured to receive a first portion of the interchangeable anchoring device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element; the complementary groove is configured to receive a second part element of the interchangeable anchoring device when the connector is inserted into the receiver; the push-and-pull tab is configured to disengage the second portion of the anchoring device of the interchangeable anchor from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchoring device from the recess of the connector. Other aspects are described and claimed.
