The invention provides a multi-tone signal and discontinuous phase modulation signal identification method and device, and the method comprises the steps: collecting data, and extracting a receiving signal s (t) from the data; respectively performing FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and STFT (Short Time Fourier Transform) on the received signal; determining the spectral line state of the receiving signal after FFT transformation, and determining a multi-tone signal and a potential discontinuous phase modulation signal according to the spectral line state; and determining a time-frequency domain spectrogram of the received signal after the STFT, identifying the potential discontinuous phase modulation signal, and determining that the potential discontinuous phase modulation signal is a discontinuous phase modulation signal or a multi-tone signal.
