The iridium complexes are formed by combining electron-deficient naphthoquinoline or pyrazine serving as an N^N ligand with a large conjugated C^N ligand with an electron donating property. The iridium complexes with rich excited states can be subjected to energy transfer with oxygen under the illumination condition to generate rich singlet oxygen, and under the hypoxic condition, the iridium complexes can generate active oxygen species such as hydroxyl free radicals due to relatively strong electron transfer, so that the iridium complexes have a good photodynamic effect; besides, the N^N ligand with electron-deficient property and the C^N ligand with electron-donating property respectively regulate HOMO and LUMO energy levels, so that the iridium complexes emit red light and have a better application prospect in the field of biological imaging materials.
