Abstract

The invention discloses a method for grading test text reading difficulty of children based on a Ross model. The method comprises the following steps: finding text fragments involved in an answer of a reading understanding question in a text; calculating language variables of the text segments to serve as independent variables; converting the reading understanding score into a Logit value, and then converting the Logit value into a text difficulty value in a 200-1500 interval as a dependent variable; adopting a Pearson product difference correlation coefficient to screen out an independent variable with a high correlation coefficient with the dependent variable; and determining an optimal linguistic variable for predicting the dependent variable by adopting a least square method, and exporting an optimal matching function. According to the method, the Ross model and the score conversion method thereof are adopted to carry out difficulty level analysis on the text by using any number from 200 to 1500, the goodness of fit is high, and the method accords with the language characteristics of Chinese. Students can measure and calculate the difficulty level of reading the text by reading the text and completing 3-4 reading understanding questions corresponding to the text, the calculation is simple and rapid, and the method has good applicability and generalization performance.
