Abstract

The invention provides vehicle-based data acquisition. A computer may execute instructions to collect vehicle sensor data from sensors on a vehicle. The instructions further include identifying selected data from the vehicle sensor data based on determining that the vehicle is within a threshold distance of a road infrastructure geo-fence indicating a presence of a target road infrastructure element; and transmitting the selected data to a remote server.
