Abstract

The invention relates to a memory device and an operating method thereof. A memory device according to an embodiment includes: a memory device including a plurality of memory blocks including a plurality of memory cells respectively connected to a plurality of vertically stacked word lines; and a storage controller configured to control the memory device to determine attributes of a plurality of write data corresponding to a write request in response to the write request provided from the host, a program voltage for a program operation for storing write data having the same attribute of the write data among the plurality of write data in the same memory block is set based on a lookup table, and the program operation is performed according to the set program voltage, the lookup table includes attributes of write data and program information about program voltages according to positions of the plurality of word lines.
