Abstract

A driver extension module for retrofitting a driver (8) having at least one adjustable output parameter is provided. The driver extension module (50) comprises an interface (51) for connecting the driver extension module (50) to the driver (8), and a control unit (53), where the control unit (53) is configured to send a control signal to a control input of the driver (8) to adjust at least one output parameter of the driver (8).
