A method may be performed by one or more processors and may include receiving a first count of surgical articles, receiving one or more images, where each image is a field of view including one or more surgical articles, determining a second count of surgical articles based at least in part on the one or more received images, and displaying the second count of surgical articles based on the determined second count.
