Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention provide a vehicle and a network system capable of downloading and updating up-to-date software from a plurality of other vehicles that are not limited by distance during an update time in a parking or autonomous driving situation. The vehicle includes a controller and a communicator configured to communicate with a server and a plurality of other vehicles in a network. Based on a software update request of the vehicle, the controller is configured to, in response to determining that a number of other vehicles having a processor corresponding to a processor included in the vehicle and having a software update completed is greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value, update the software of the other vehicles in the wireless network formed by the vehicle. Software updates of the vehicle are performed by the other vehicles.
