According to the method, under the condition that the computing device is not restarted, the main core of the processor is restarted, and the new core is loaded to upgrade the operating system; when the kernel is upgraded, the slave core is kept to be started, so that the update time is prevented from being prolonged by restarting the slave core; furthermore, the kernel is stored in the kernel storage area in advance, so that the kernel loading time is shortened.
