Abstract

The invention relates to a device for adjusting fitting of clothes. Previously, conventional garments do not include adjustable fasteners that provide adjustments to the garment, such as fine tuning adjustments. Embodiments of the present invention use a monorail slide having a plurality of rail teeth spaced along a length thereof. A rail carriage is slidably engaged with the monorail slide rail. A button is operably attached to the track carriage. At least one of the rail carriage and the button includes a locking device to removably engage the plurality of rail teeth.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments herein relate generally to garments, and more specifically to a button that slidably engages a slide rail to adjust the size of the garment. Background technique [0002] Regular buttons are designed to engage with button holes. Therefore, unless there are multiple button hole options, conventional buttons can only make a garment fit in one size. Sadly, many individuals don't exactly fit the predefined sizes. For example, if a man is buying pants and has a size 35 waist, 34 may be too tight and 36 may be too large. Therefore, he needs to choose a pair of pants that do not fit very well. Additionally, the size of a user's waist may vary from day to day, week to week, month to month, or year to year. More recently, production lines can be inconsistent in producing certain sizes and can vary by as much as 1 / 2'", which means that the first pants from a specific production line can be slightly different from the second pants from a specific ...
