Abstract

An upper limit of LSP download capacity is setup at the LSP downloading module in the method. If the LSP downloading number exceeds the capacity of the forwarding list in bottom layer, the downloading operation is stopped. The said module created and deleted by the LSP is the last step in the upper module for interacting with bottom forwarding directly. When multiple MPLS protocols are ran at same time, the invention can control the LSP downloading number not exceeding the capacity of the forwarding list in bottom layer accurately so as to prevent large numbers of downloading operations from failure. When LSP information capacity created is larger than the size of forwarding list in bottom layer, the creating the mechanism of LSP buffer and route buffer is utilized to guarantee quick downloading recovery as well as not losing the downloading information and self-recovery issue.
