The bearing inner shell 13 has a journal 15 at its lower end, and the bearing shell 14 has a narrowed extension 17 at its bottom 16 into which the journal 15 is pressed. This is very simple in processing technology. Both the bottom 16 of the bearing shell 14 and the bottom 18 of the bearing inner shell 13 are made of thinner shell walls. Abstract

The spindle bearing (10), at a ring spinner, has a pin (15) at the lower end (18) of the inner bearing housing (13), and the base (16) of the outer bearing housing (14) has a tapered extension (17) or opening. The pin (15) is anchored in the extension (17) or opening, so that the inner bearing housing (13) is secured in the outer bearing housing (14) by a linkage with a defined torque stiffness. The inner (13) and outer (14) bearing housings have a relatively thin base (16,18). The pin (15) of the inner bearing housing (13) is fitted into the tapered extension (17) of the outer bearing housing (14) by a press fit or a screw lock. The pin, when passed through a base opening in the outer housing, is held in place by a screw nut. The tapered extension of the outer housing can have a narrowed section, to take a ring-shaped thickened section of the pin with an outer threading to hold a centering unit. A nut is screwed on to the threading of the thickened ring with a point projection, or the nut has a ring between it and the outer bearing housing with a point projection. A damping medium (19) is between the bearing housings (13,14).
