Abstract

An ink cartridge, comprising a shell and a covering part, forms a hollow receiving part when connected together, and in the receiving part, an ink absorber made of laminated fiber materials is installed. The ribs include ribs in a first direction disposed obliquely to the fiber lamination surface of the ink absorber, and ribs in a second direction perpendicularly intersecting the ribs in the first direction. An atmosphere communication port is formed at a position surrounded by the ribs in the first direction and the ribs in the second direction, and a communication port guide extending into the accommodating portion is provided around the atmosphere communication port.
