Abstract

The invention is suitable to decoding the multiple digital image data in the memory to be decoded. The method includes the follows. The B frame data and the reference frame data of the B frame data are picked up from the multiple digital image data in the memory. The B frame data includes the first field data and the second field data. Using the reference frame data and decoding the first field data of the B frame data obtain the decoded data of the first field data. The decoded data are stored back to the memory. With the decoded data of the first field data and the reference frame data being read from the said memory, the B frame data are obtained repeatedly, the decoding the second field data is decoded. Since the second field data and the first field data utilizes same memory space, thus, the quantity of the memory utilized is reduced a half.
