Abstract

The culvert type flow meter includes diversion groove, weir plate and liquid level difference transducer. The diversion groove laid along the side and bottom of channel includes front connecting section, diversion section and back connecting section along the water flow direction, the diversion section is in turned trapezoid and the front and the connecting sections are higher than the diversion section. The weir plate is set over the diversion section in the water flow cross section direction and has culvert formed. The liquid level difference transducer has two connected pressure conducting pipes set upstream and downstream the weir plate separately to output the pressure difference signal across the weir plate. The present invention has raised accuracy of the measurement result.
