Embodiment Construction

[0037] Exemplary embodiments of systems and devices for injecting substances into cells are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0038] figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the apparatus of the present invention. In the present invention, the gene-injected or drug-injected cells 6 are automatically supplied, and the gene-injected or drug-injected cells 6 are automatically recovered to make it possible to greatly increase the production yield.

[0039] The device 20 of the invention has a decoy part 4 and an insertion part 5 . At least one of the trapping part 4 and the inserting part 5 is made of a transparent material. Therefore, the process of injecting the gene solution or the drug solution to the cells 6 captured in the capture section 4 can be observed while performing the injection operation using the needle 7 inserted from the insertion section 5 .

[0040] The device 20 has a cell input part 1 and a cell output part 2 . The device ...

Abstract

An apparatus for injecting a substance into a cell includes a cell input part to input the cell, a cell output part to output the cell, a flow path that connects the cell input part and the cell output part, wherein the cell flows in the flow path from the cell input part toward the cell output part, a trapping part that is arranged in the flow path and traps the cell that flows in the flow path, and an inserting part that allows to pass a needle that injects the substance into the cell that is trapped at the trapping part. The cell injected with the substance flows in the flow path toward the cell output part and the cell can be retrieved from the cell output part.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to systems and devices for injecting substances, such as genetic or pharmaceutical solutions, into cells. Background technique [0002] The use of gene-injected cells or drug-injected cells is common in life science fields, such as regenerative medicine and genome-based drug discovery. Such cells are used for pure research or in the field of medicine. Such cells are prepared using various gene transfer techniques. [0003] However, the techniques used for the production of such cells for research cannot be used for the production of cells in the field of medicine; because the requirements of the field of medicine are different from those of research. The pharmaceutical field requirements include: [0004] 1) Possibility to use any type of cell or substance to be transferred (hereinafter referred to as "transfer substance"); [0005] 2) high accuracy; and [0006] 3) Possibility of mass production. [0007] Satisfying...
