Problems solved by technology

However, it is difficult to use multiple light sources to project the light beams from each light source onto the polygon mirror at the same incident angle without losing the luminous intensity
In addition, focal length changes caused by temperature fluctuations usually affect the optical performance of the LSU

Abstract

A laser scanning unit is provided comprising a polygon mirror that deflects light beams respectively emitted by a plurality of light sources, an image focusing system that respectively focuses an image corresponding to each light beam deflected from the polygon mirror onto a surface of a plurality of photoconductive drums, and an incident optical system disposed between the light sources and the polygon mirror. The incident optical system comprises an infinite optical system along a main scanning direction and a finite optical system along a sub-scanning direction.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a laser scanning unit for an imaging device, more particularly, to a tandem type laser scanning unit that scans a plurality of light sources on a reflection device and projects images onto multiple on the photoconductor drum. Background technique [0002] Generally, a laser scanning unit (LSU) is used in an image forming device such as a copier, a printer, or a facsimile, all of which print an image on printing paper. The LSU scans a light beam emitted by a light source (for example, a laser diode) onto a photoconductive medium of an imaging device, and forms an electrostatic latent image. [0003] The laser scanning unit can be depicted as consisting of two different optical systems relying on polygon mirrors. The first system is an incident optical system, and the second system is an image optical system. The incident optical system includes the LSU area from the light source to the polygon mirror, and the image op...
