Embodiment Construction

[0029] The present invention is described below based on examples, which do not limit the scope of the present invention but are examples of the present invention. All features and combinations thereof described in these embodiments are not essential to the invention.

[0030] Before describing the present invention in detail, its gist will be described first. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a base station apparatus that performs adaptive array signal processing on a plurality of signals received by a plurality of antennas. It is assumed that the type of base station device targeted by the present application is a base station device for a wireless local area network (LAN). The wireless LAN handled in the base station apparatus is based on a system conforming to IEEE 802.11a, a system conforming to IEEE802.11b, and a system conforming to IEEE 02.11g. In other words, the base station device can use two frequencies of 2.4GHz and 5GHz as radio frequencies. A spr...

Abstract

A correlation unit calculates a correlation value from the digital reception signal and a predetermined signal. The reception weight calculation unit applies the LMS algorithm to calculate the reception weight vector signal. The application of the algorithm is based on the spread spectrum signal when the digital received signal is suitable for a spread spectrum scheme, and in the time domain when the digital received signal is suitable for an OFDM modulation scheme. The multiplication unit weights the digital reception signal using the reception weighting vector signal, and the addition unit adds outputs from the respective units of the multiplication unit. The FFT unit calculates the fast Fourier transform of the synthesized signal and outputs the frequency domain signal. The despreading unit despreads the synthesized signal, and outputs the despread signal.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to receiving technology, in particular to a receiving method and a receiving device for performing adaptive array signal processing on signals received by multiple antennas. Background technique [0002] In wireless communications, efficient use of limited frequency resources is sought. One of the techniques available to efficiently utilize frequency resources is the adaptive array antenna technique. In adaptive array antenna technology, the amplitude and phase of signals transmitted and received by multiple antennas are controlled in order to form the antenna's pattern. More specifically, in devices equipped with adaptive array antennas, the amplitude and phase of signals received by multiple antennas are varied. A plurality of changed received signals are added to each other. Signals received in the pattern of the antenna are received according to the degree of change in amplitude and phase (hereinafter referred to as...
