The invention concerns a method for making secure a link, for instance a radio link, between a data terminal and a local computer network which is connected to a mobile radiotelephone network comprising an authentication center. Said method consists in: connecting the data terminal to a radiotelephone terminal including means for executing a procedure capable of making secure a radio link betweensaid radiotelephone terminal and the radiotelephone network , said procedure consisting in particular in a data exchange with the radiotelephone network, said exchange being usually supported by a radio link between the radiotelephone terminal and the radiotelephone network; executing, in the radiotelephone terminal, the same procedure, but causing the information exchange to be supported by a link between the data exchange terminal and the local computer network, and through an interoperable link connecting the local computer network and the radiotelephone network; then transferring the result of said procedure of the radiotelephone terminal to the data terminal.
