locking mechanism to transition between locked and unlocked states. At least one wall of the storage case has an adjustable
opacity panel that is switchable by a controller between a plurality of visible states, including a transparent state and a high
opacity state. In the high
opacity state, the opacity panel obscures the contents of the compartment to enhance privacy and security. An interface communicates with the controller to control the opacity panel and / or the
locking mechanism. The interface provides for interaction through voice commands, optical inputs, vibration, touch, keyboard inputs, key fob controls,
mobile phone controls, manual switches, and location-based parameters.
