Embodiment Construction

[0023] refer to Figure 1-3 , to describe preferred embodiments of the waterproof member according to the present invention.

[0024] figure 1 Shown is a lower sash adapted to be mounted horizontally between a roof surface (not shown) and a lower sash portion of a window (not shown) (i.e., a sash portion comprising a bottom member and two adjacent side members). Waterproof part 1. The lower flashing includes a cross member generally indicated at 40 and a skirt member 50 connected to the lower edge 13 of the cross member 40, the cross member 40 being adapted to engage the lower portion of the window frame, and the skirt Member 50 is adapted to engage a roof upper surface. The cross member 40 includes a thin plate portion including a main body 10 and left and right corners 20, 30, the main body 10 and the left and right corners 20, 30 are arranged substantially in the same plane and parallel to the roof. The overall inclined direction is installed. The main body portion 10 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a sheet flashing member for a frame structure of a roof window or a similar roof penetrating building structure that comprises adaptable corner segments. The sheet flashing member comprises a sheet section (40) and first and second corner segments (20, 30). At least one of said corner segments at a surface thereof comprises at least one indication (22, 32, 34, 38), a visible indication or a weakening section, indicating a pattern, such that at least a part of the sheet section may be separated from the remaining part of the flashing member along the indication, which allows an adaptation of the corner segment by selecting between two different configurations for the corner segment e.g. whether it is to be used between a window and the surrounding roof or between two neighbouring windows.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to sheet-like waterproof members for window frame structures of dormer windows or similar roof penetration building structures. Background technique [0002] When waterproofing roof penetrations into building structures such as chimneys or the window frame structure of dormer windows, hard plastics such as metal or PVC are often used to protect them from the weather and to provide a seal between their own structure and the roof Waterproof coverings of rigid materials, specifically sheet metal (such as aluminium, copper, steel or zinc). Typically, such flashings are manufactured by hand working common tinplate from flat sheet material, contoured and shaped to fit in the desired position. [0003] The relatively expensive on-site adjustment and assembly work required when using conventional processes can be avoided by using prefabricated waterproofing components. For example, when these flashings are used with standard win...
