Abstract

A software system for enabling remote data access and performing tasks on a data processing system through a proxy server, having a software instance resident on the data processing system for receiving and analyzing requests, and Execution upon request instructions; and a software instance resident on the proxy server for identifying and authenticating the user in order to redirect the request to the data processing system. The system is characterized in that a user connects to a network with access to the data processing system and initiates a request for a service, wherein the request is redirected from a proxy server to the data processing system after authentication of the user for performing tasks and according to the request content to return possible results.
