Abstract

A medical device is provided comprising a reservoir adapted to contain a fluid drug in an interior thereof, and a pump assembly. The pump assembly comprises a pump inlet, a pump outlet and an internal flow path arranged there between, and a fluid connector having an inlet and an outlet. The fluid connector is arranged to be operated from an initial state in which the fluid connector is arranged within the interior of the pump and an actuated state in which fluid communication is established between the interior of the reservoir and the interior of the pump assembly via the fluid connector andwith the outlet of the fluid connector being arranged in the flow path of the pump assembly.
